When you work in Hawaii, in addition to learning about the functional aspects of running a hotel — like the proper way to make a bed or how to best handle luggage — it’s critically important to understand Hawaiian culture and the spirit of ‘ohana, or ‘family.’ When opening the first Andaz property in Hawaii, our team participated in Hawaiian culture training to help us understand what ‘ohana truly means.
Summary
You will be responsible for providing an excellent and consistent level of service to the guests. The Bellman is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests and ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience from arrival to departure, maintaining high standards of hospitality, and working closely with the concierge and front office teams.
Qualifications
Due to work permit restrictions, this position is only open to Malaysian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Malaysia.
Ideally with a university degree/diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management.
Work experience as a Guest Service Officer within luxury hotels is preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome.
Professional appearance and demeanor, with the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational, and multitasking abilities.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
