Job Description As a Federal Proposal Assistant, you will support the organization’s marketing services and technical teams in positioning the firm to win work and strengthen Olsson’s brand. This role primarily supports the Federal Market and provides an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of federal proposals, qualifications, and strategic marketing in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

You will contribute to a wide range of marketing activities by following established guidelines. Under the guidance of senior marketing and proposal staff, responsibilities may include supporting proposal development and interview strategies, coordinating conferences and client events, assisting with award submissions, gathering client insights, and conducting market research.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Organize, produce, and format marketing and proposal materials for various marketing needs such as qualification packages, proposals, brochures, and presentations while following the brand guidelines.

Communicates proactively and meets deadlines for the timely completion of project pursuits and proposals.

Assists with research, coordination, and/or facilitation of client engagement activities, conferences, and client events.

Supports proposal preparation, which may include gathering, verifying, organizing, and maintaining key information and documentation.

Assembles information relevant to interview strategies, team qualifications, and supporting documentation.

Maintains marketing information systems, including client files, resumes, project descriptions, and contact lists.

Provides support in the collection, analysis, and sharing of client and market intelligence to inform strategic pursuits.

Conduct research on federal target markets, agencies, and potential clients to support business development and strategic marketing efforts.

Contributes to the writing and preparation of award submissions.

We have one opening and will only consider candidates interested in being located out of our Lincoln, NE office location. This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule.

You bring to the team:

Strong verbal and written communication skills

The ability to contribute to and thrive within a collaborative team environment

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Writing/Journalism, or a related field

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat

A self‑motivated mindset with the ability to work independently

Excellent interpersonal, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills

Strengths in technical writing, editing, and visual presentation
