External Marketer – Abingdon Care & Rehabilitation
Abingdon Care & Rehabilitation is seeking a dynamic External Marketer to develop and strengthen relationships with hospitals and referral sources in the local market. This role is focused on driving census growth through external outreach and relationship‑building, while all referral coordination and admissions processes are handled internally.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with hospital case managers, discharge planners, physicians, and community partners
Conduct routine on-site hospital visits and represent Abingdon Care & Rehab services
Identify and develop new referral sources within the market
Promote the facility’s skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to key stakeholders
Track outreach activity, market trends, and growth opportunities
Collaborate with internal Admissions, Clinical, and Marketing teams to align on census goals
Important Note This role is strictly external‑facing and does not include referral coordination, intake, or admissions processing responsibilities.
Qualifications
Healthcare marketing or liaison experience preferred (SNF or hospital experience a plus)
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Knowledge of the local hospital market preferred
Ability to travel locally
