Visit Bellevue’s Marketing & Communications Intern will support the development of data-driven marketing initiatives, with a primary focus on building and maintaining the organization’s internal dashboard using Tableau. This role will play a key part in improving how Visit Bellevue tracks, visualizes, and communicates performance across marketing channels and organizational priorities.

The intern will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather data, translate insights into actionable reporting, and support ongoing communications related to marketing performance and strategic initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in marketing analytics, business intelligence, and data-driven storytelling.

This role is primarily housed within the Marketing & Communications team, with approximately 40% allocation supporting Destination Stewardship initiatives, focused on outreach, coordination, and visitor experience programming.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Marketing Analytics & Dashboard Development (Primary Focus)



Assist the development, design, and ongoing maintenance of Visit Bellevue’s organizational dashboard.



Aggregate and organize data from multiple sources (visitor data, hotel data, spending data, digital marketing, website analytics, CRM, partner reporting, visitor experience, etc.)



Translate data into clear, actionable insights for internal teams and leadership



Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and support ongoing tracking and reporting



Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across reporting systems



Create visualizations that support strategic decision-making and storytelling

Stakeholder Communication & Coordination



Serve as a liaison between departments to gather reporting needs and data inputs



Communicate dashboard updates, insights, and reporting outcomes to internal stakeholders



Support alignment across marketing, sales, visitor experience, and destination stewardship teams through shared data insights



Assist in preparing dashboard, reports, and presentations for leadership, board, and partner meetings

Marketing & Communications Support



Assist with general MarCom initiatives including campaign support, content coordination, website, and project management



Support performance tracking of marketing campaigns and initiatives



Contribute to research, reporting, and analytics projects as needed



Provide administrative and operational support for ongoing marketing efforts

DESTINATION STEWARDSHIP SUPPORT (Approx. 40%)



Assistance in the development and promotion of Destination Stewardship programs



Partner outreach and engagement with local businesses, organizations, partners, and stakeholders



Community engagement at the Mobile Welcome Center and at special events



Support coordination and logistics for accessibility, sustainability, and other stewardship initiatives



Assist with stakeholder communications and outreach related to Destination Stewardship programsQUALIFICATIONS:



Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field



Strong interest in marketing analytics, visitor data, DMO data visualization, and industry wide business intelligence



Experience or familiarity with Tableau, Excel, or other data visualization tools preferred



Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively



Strong project management and organizational skills



Excellent written and verbal communication skills



Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams



Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability



Interest in tourism, destination marketing, or community engagement a plusOTHER DUTIES
