MeatEater, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and creative
Community and Social Media Coordinator
to join our team. This role will support and execute the day-to-day output of our digital presence and community engagement efforts across platforms.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and brings a sharp eye for quality content and storytelling. This position will be responsible for publishing content, supporting content creation, engaging with the MeatEater audience, and helping uphold the standard of storytelling that defines our brand. The right candidate will have a foundational understanding of the outdoor industry and a genuine passion for the outdoors.
This position is located in Bozeman, Montana.
Core Responsibilities
Schedule and publish daily social media content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and emerging channels
Support content capture in the field and in-house, including basic filming and editing for social-first content
Maintain accuracy, quality, and consistency across all social media
Assist in testing and expanding into new platforms, formats, and distribution strategies
Contribute to reporting and analysis that informs future creative and strategic decisions
Support the broader social team wherever needed
Engage with MeatEater community across platforms including Reddit, MeatEater Inbox, social media, and emerging channels
Other duties as beneficial to MeatEater
Requirements Education/Training
3–5+ years of experience in social media, digital media, or a related field
Experience
Strong understanding of major platforms and how content behaves differently across each
Clear, concise copywriting skills with the ability to match brand voice
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Active participant in social culture with awareness of trends
Specialized Knowledge/Skills
Strong Interest in Hunting, Fishing, and Conservation
Working knowledge of basic editing tools (Premiere, Photoshop, or similar)
