Job Description
Aerovel, part of the Airbus Helicopters Flexrotor Program, is looking for a Bids & Proposals Coordinator to join our Business Development & Sales Team in Bingen, WA. The role supports proposal development for Flexrotor contracting opportunities, managing sales processes, creating proposals and commercial offers, providing marketing support, maintaining CRM systems, analyzing performance metrics, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen interest in delivering excellence in competitive proposals.

The Airbus Helicopters Flexrotor Program offers one of the most advanced small tactical unmanned aerial systems (STUAS). It can be used day or night by US and allied forces for a diverse range of intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR) operations on land and at sea.

Your Challenges
Bids & Proposal Development Support (80%)
Assist in the preparation, formatting, and editing of proposal documents, ensuring compliance. Prepare finalized bid and proposal submissions for executive approval. Support the proposal team in gathering, organizing, and tracking required documentation. Maintain proposal schedules, calendars, and action item lists. Conduct research on government solicitations, agencies, and competitors. Coordinate with internal subject matter experts for technical input. Help manage version control and document management for all proposal materials. Participate in proposal meetings, take notes, and track action items. Assist with the development of graphics, tables, and visual aids. Support post‑submission activities, including archiving and lessons learned.
Sales Enablement and Marketing Support (20%)
Support creation and maintenance of marketing collateral. Support Salesforce reporting, lead and opportunity tracking, and dashboard development. Assist in brand awareness initiatives, sponsorships, and industry partnerships. Assist in annual sales planning and forecasting. Coordinate updates to product configurations and pricing databases. Contribute to operational improvement initiatives. Provide logistical and administrative support for sales team travel and customer site visits.

Your Boarding Pass
Required: BS/BA degree or equivalent experience. Minimum one (1) year of experience in proposal development, technical writing, or administrative support. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes. Up to 10% domestic and international travel. Must be a US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. citizen, green card holder, or covered under ITAR license). Knowledge of military, civil agency, and commercial contracting requirements. Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks with overlapping deadlines. Operator level proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, MS Outlook, and Salesforce. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, MS Visio, Adobe Photoshop, Expert Choice, SnagIt preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
BS/BA in Business, Marketing, or Management. Experience in the aviation industry, especially UAS. French or German language skills.
Physical Requirements
90% onsite. Vision: able to read computer screens, documents, and engineering drawings. Hearing: able to participate in conversations and hear safety warnings. Speaking: able to speak in meetings and deliver information. Equipment Operation: operate office and personal electronic equipment and some production tools. Carrying: able to carry documents up to 10lbs/5kgs occasionally. Lifting: able to lift documents up to 10lbs/5kgs occasionally. Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture occasionally. Sitting: able to sit for long periods at the computer. Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel occasionally. Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Travel: able to travel independently at short notice frequently. Walking: able to walk through office and production areas occasionally. Personal Protective Equipment: required safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, protective gloves as required.
Salary Range
$80,000 – $104,000 per year, based on required profile. Actual minimum and maximum may vary with geographic differential.
