Job Description
Manage purchasing of BOM and non-BOM materials to support project schedules and operational needs
Place purchase orders with suppliers and adjust delivery timing to align with installation schedules
Source materials, obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and procure cost-effective solutions
Plan supply and demand needs, including reschedules, expedites, deferrals, and cancellations
Monitor inventory levels and support stocking programs across warehouse operations
Update and manage project supply plans in ERP systems to drive warehouse picking and supplier deliveries
Coordinate closely with field teams, operations, warehousing, estimating, design, and project management
Support logistics, inventory transfers, RMAs, and other purchasing-related projects
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while tracking performance on quality, speed, and cost
Lead supplier issue resolution and elevate concerns when needed
Communicate clearly and proactively with internal stakeholders to provide updates, status, and solutions
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-accountability team environment
Qualifications
3+ years of purchasing experience involving electrical and mechanical materials
Solar or renewable energy industry experience preferred
Experience with ERP systems and spreadsheets, including NetSuite, Oracle, or similar platforms
Strong organization, prioritization, and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and solve problems quickly
Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments
Ability to travel occasionally to satellite offices, warehouses, suppliers, or industry events
Technical and digital proficiency with web-based applications and Google Workspace or similar tools
