The successful adjunct candidate will be committed to teaching in a multicultural environment and welcome the opportunity to work with students with diverse learning abilities. Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include teaching assignments during days, evenings and weekends.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Program and rehearse music for the Latin Jazz Ensemble. Prepare the ensemble for 1 to 2 performances each semester. Seek additional opportunities for the ensemble to perform in the community and on campus.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's Degree in the field and/or a combination of education, training and tested experience required.
Broad knowledge of Latin jazz idioms and styles and command of relevant repertoire.
Experience directing and/or performing with a jazz ensemble focused on Latin jazz music.
Evidence of successful work with students and community musicians.
Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred. Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required.
These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.
A pre-employment background check at the Colleges' expense is required.
