Kitchen Director
The Kitchen Director is responsible for ensuring that our guests and team members
have a great experience each and every day at Chick-fil-A. They coach and develop
Kitchen Operations Leaders & Team Leaders to achieve their goals and make sure the
Kitchen team has the systems in place to perform their jobs with excellence. They
are responsible for everything that takes place in the kitchen, leading and
developing those that report to them. Their vision is to be the world’s most caring
company, living out the purpose of F.A.S.T. (Focus on the Guest First, Attention to
Detail, Sense of Urgency, Think Food Safety). They ensure that our team members
are treated with honor, dignity, and respect.

Speed of service is constantly under 3 minutes 45 seconds.
Food safety score is a 1 with no immediate findings or high risks. QIV score is at a 97% or higher.
AHA Usage Score Scans are above 90%. AHA Hold Times are at 100%.
100% completion of all checklists, audits, and other systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the team is calibrated on all Chick-fil-A standards and procedures as they are introduced.
Oversee Food Cost and be responsible for ensuring we hit our target IPO.
Oversee Inventory through truck orders, weekly spot counts, and end of month count. Ensure the kitchen is always organized for optimal performance.
Oversee speed of service, ensuring that we deliver a high quality product in a quick manner.
Work with Kitchen Operations Leads to track their goals and results and communicate these with the team.
Coach and mentor Operations Leads, Team Leaders, Trainers, and Team Members for improved work performance. Help lead monthly meetings with the kitchen leadership team.
Identify and develop talent among team members through leadership development.
Be part of cultivating a culture of honor, dignity, and respect.
Oversee overall kitchen cleanliness and maintenance. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in working order at all times.
Execution of huddles to ensure all team members are on the same page.
Ensure Morning, Transition, and Closing checklists are completed. Help the team keep score of how they are doing.
Work closely with fellow Directors to ensure all areas of the business flow well together and act as one team.
Walk with Quality Improvement Visits and EcoSure Food Safety Audits during our assessments if present.
Hold team members accountable to all handbook policies & procedures.
Responsible for overall health of the Kitchen and that we are growing with the needs of the business.
Responsible for our food donation participation and accurate tracking with Shared Table.
2 years of Leadership experience.
Experience in training, coaching, or teaching.
Assertive & friendly personality.
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
Hospitality experience (preferred).
Passion for Chick-fil-A's values.
