Job Description:
Estimator
for a premier structural steel fabricator. The role requires talent, initiative, and drive to join a growing organization that prides itself on quality and supports professional growth in a supportive, team-oriented family-owned environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee and review project plans, requirements and specifications
Demonstrated leadership ability to coordinate a team to develop an estimate
Determine labor and equipment costs
Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
Understand project logistics and project schedule
Understand all bid documents and assess project risks
Review quotes and estimates with the project team
Prepare estimates and different levels of completion (conceptual, schematic, DD, CD, etc.)
Orchestrate pre-construction duties and meeting with owners, clients and engineers
Serve as company interface between owner & architect
Responsible for developing leadership, motivation, and communication with owners, subs and project team
Qualifications
Experience working on projects ranging from one hundred thousand to five million dollars
Advanced computer skills with estimating software
Effective presentation skills
Advanced computer skills with MS Office
Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
Understand aspects of structural steel and misc metal concepts
