This position will be part of the UnitedHealth Group Innovation Center team. The Innovation Centers are our exclusive enterprise destinations to support business leaders across Optum, UnitedHealthcare, and UnitedHealth Group as they engage strategic partners and those they serve.
As a Senior Marketing and Event Experience Specialist, you’ll have the opportunity to provide support, lead planning sessions, collaborate and guide stakeholders on creating experiences and tours at our Innovation Centers. This is a position that requires executive level logistical planning skills, exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality in all aspects of work and actively contributes to a constructive and uplifting work environment by exemplifying professionalism and fostering collaboration.
This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.
Primary Responsibilities
This is a critical position within the Innovation Centers Team
Demonstrated experience in event planning, customer service and support of businesses with multiple business operations segments
Excellent interpersonal skills both verbally and in writing, executive presence is imperative
Must be able to promote and ensure client satisfaction via timely and accurate responses, clear communication, and ongoing training
This position will lead and execute the end-to-end processes surrounding visits and experiences in the Innovation Center:
Lead planning sessions, guide stakeholders, collaborating with adjacent teams to create meaningful and memorable experiences
Utilize briefing management platform
Suggest, plan and manage offsite visit support elements
Build and maintain relationships with executive team, executive assistants, sales and business leaders, regarding processes and procedures necessary to execute successful visits.
Manage marketing materials for the Innovation Centers
Manage Innovation Centers process and procedure documents
Learn Innovation Centers content library and attend new content training sessions
Support cross-marketing projects as needed

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED
Must be 18 years of age OR older
3+ years experience in event planning industry
Cross- collaboration skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Ability to work in the Eden Prairie, MN office 4 days weekly
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years customer service industry experience
Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, from frontline staff to executive leadership
Success managing events of varying scale and scope
Track record of driving innovation
Fast learner with a proactive approach to acquiring new skills and adapting to change
Ability to work flexible hours
Experience with Canva
Telecommuting Requirements
Reside within commutable distance to the office at 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie MN.
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
