PowerSouth Energy Cooperative , headquartered in Andalusia, AL, is a generation and transmission (G&T) electric cooperative with 22 distribution members – 18 electric distribution systems and four municipal electric systems – in Alabama and northwest Florida. PowerSouth's member systems provide power to end‑use consumers across 51 counties in Alabama and 10 counties in Florida.

JOB SUMMARY & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The purpose of this position is to coordinate and provide reliable, quality services with audio/video capabilities, multimedia services, webcasting, video conferencing, and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) services in such a way that serves the needs of and builds relationships with member systems, PowerSouth employees, and other stakeholders. This position coordinates and oversees the work of multimedia personnel in the department. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Technology, Video Production, Photography, Multimedia, Information Systems, Networking or a related field and five (5) years of experience in a related field. Experience in the use of electronic media production and multimedia, AV systems integration, basic knowledge of desktop applications, and basic knowledge of printing equipment and technologies is preferred. This position requires technical expertise in MS‑Windows and PC applications, PC hardware maintenance, software installation, PC upgrades, connecting and maintaining peripherals, maintaining and installing PC‑AV integration. The incumbent must be able to achieve required AV certifications within one (1) year of employment, maintain required certification credentials, and participate in ongoing AV training related to operation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees individual and/or sites requests including maintenance and troubleshooting of in‑house audio/video control systems in the PowerSouth conference rooms and boardroom, computer networking, and assists with AV system integration for the purpose of ensuring audio‑visual equipment is set up and operational in all PowerSouth conference rooms and boardroom.
Oversees the set up and installation of equipment such as microphones, speakers, audio mixers, amplifiers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables for events and functions such as meetings and conventions, presentations, and news conferences during the regular work week, after hours, and occasionally weekends for on‑site and off‑site meeting locations.
Responsible for coordinating PowerSouth's UAS assets and use through regulatory, technical, and operational expertise. Coordinates with FAA and other regulatory bodies on obtaining waivers and permissions for accessing complex airspace. Coordinates requests for use of UAS and project assignment and execution. Responsible for evaluation and compliance of FAA rules and regulations, applicable corporate procedures and record keeping, and asset maintenance.
Assists in providing photography and videography services on campus and on location, during the regular work week and after hours.
Coordinates and assists the Communications Department with creative services as needed for PowerSouth and its distribution members.
Responsible for ensuring the success of PowerSouth by promoting teamwork, group goals and objectives, properly communicating and cooperating within the PowerSouth organization and with member systems as well as demonstrating and promoting standards of respect and dignity, accountability, integrity, and trustworthiness.
