Customer Analytics Manager

In this role, you will lead a client‑facing analytics delivery function to deliver timely, high‑quality data, reporting, and insights that improve customer experience, support operational decision‑making, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform general analytics and statistical modeling on existing data sets in various areas of the business.
Supervise teams that gather relevant data from various sources, such as databases, spreadsheets, APIs, or data warehouses, and ensure data integrity by cleaning and preprocessing it to remove errors.
Use statistical and analytical techniques to explore and examine the data; apply descriptive statistics, data mining, predictive modeling, and machine learning algorithms to identify patterns, relationships, and trends.
Transform complex data into visual representations such as charts, graphs, and dashboards to present insights to stakeholders.
Create reports and summaries that effectively communicate analysis to non‑technical audiences with key metrics, visualizations, and actionable recommendations.
Derive actionable insights from the data analysis process, interpreting results to provide valuable insights that drive strategic decision‑making.
Monitor data quality, track performance metrics, and analyze new data continuously to ensure insights remain relevant and accurate.
Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including data scientists and business analysts, to define analytical objectives and align analysis with business needs.
Oversee the data analytics team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Ensure protection of all physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, managing private customer data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
Five or more years of combined experience performing or supervising data analysis functions.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in analytics, engineering, statistics, computer science, economics, business, or a related quantitative field.
Hands‑on experience in analytics delivery, including developing, reviewing, and optimizing queries, models, and dashboards while balancing leadership responsibilities.
Experience leveraging generative AI‑assisted coding tools to improve code quality and performance, and enhance analytics productivity while adhering to data governance.
Experience managing analytics or reporting operations in a regulated industry, such as electric utilities.
Experience establishing, monitoring, and reporting on service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics.
Experience negotiating scope, priorities, and delivery timelines with clients in a resource‑constrained environment.
Experience overseeing analytics delivery platforms and tools (e.g., SQL‑based reporting, data warehouses, cloud analytics platforms).
Additional Information
This position's work mode is hybrid; the employee will report to an SCE facility on a set number of days with the option to work remotely on remaining days.
Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act.
The primary work location is Irwindale, CA; the successful candidate may be asked to work an extended amount of time at an alternate location.
