Job Responsibilities
This role will support small gas regulation station and regulator station projects (not large assets such as compressor stations).
Conduct site visits, produce designs from IFR through As‑Built, and generate full drawing packages for each phase.
Create 3D models using CADWorx and translate them into fabrication and as‑built drawings, coordinating closely with engineers and project managers to ensure correct classifications and bills of materials.
Own projects end‑to‑end, including drafting, design, document management and occasional site travel.
Collaborate with designers, engineers, project managers and operations staff; actively ask questions and engage rather than simply following redlines.
Participate in site visits to gas facilities, demonstrating safety awareness.
Opportunity to work with CADWorx and 3‑D modeling.
Travel to sites such as Grand Junction or Alamosa may occur, typically as full‑day trips.
Qualifications
3‑5 years of drafting experience.
Utility experience strongly preferred; previous client utility experience; utility‑adjacent experience highly desirable.
Experience in geospatial, construction design, P&ID, architectural, or engineering drafting may translate well.
Geospatial mapping experience.
Understanding of pipe specifications and bills of materials.
Document control and revision management.
Strong collaboration skills; ability to work independently without micromanagement.
Receptive to feedback and clear communication with engineers and operations teams.
Hands‑on design ownership; projects assigned to one designer.
Exposure to gas utility infrastructure and site visits.
CADWorx (preferred) or comparable drafting tools.
SAP knowledge (nice to have).
