What You’ll Do

Samsung Electronics’ multi‑stage, evergreen venture capital fund—which is part of the Samsung Semiconductor Innovation Center—invests in deep‑tech AI infrastructure with a focus on semiconductor technologies. Located in San Jose, the role reports to the SVP of Business Strategy and requires daily onsite presence.

  • Identify, source, and lead relevant investment opportunities independently.
  • Conduct due diligence, including technical, business, industry analysis, competitive landscape, and financial modeling.
  • Lead or support deal negotiation and execution.
  • Develop new investment theses.
  • Interact with portfolio companies and Samsung business units locally or overseas to create win‑win opportunities.
  • Build relationships with entrepreneurs and monitor startups in strategic areas relevant to Samsung.
  • Participate as a board member or observer in applicable portfolio companies.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in tech, venture or investment banking, including 5+ years in venture capital or corporate venture capital with a track record of sourcing and closing financing rounds.
  • Strong network of top tier VCs and CVCs in the US.
  • Excellent academic record; engineering, computer science, or physics degree desirable; MBA or advanced degrees a plus.
  • Enthusiastic, hard‑working, self‑driven, low‑ego, intellectually curious.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, especially semiconductor‑related.
  • Analytical skills and ability to develop complex business models.
  • Attention to detail and ability to grasp big‑picture themes.
  • Leadership, poise, and maturity when engaging senior executives and entrepreneurs.
  • Team player with strong presentation and written communication skills; able to address business and technical audiences.

What We Offer

Base pay range: $203,000—$325,000 USD.
