Marketing Manager (Product Marketing Manager)

Reports To:

Director of Marketing

Summary:

Responsible for business development and maintenance of products within the PPD (Piezo and Protection Devices) business group in North America. This includes providing strong technical support to existing and potential customers, product planning through target customer identification, product budgeting, forecasting, sales training, promotion, pricing, inventory control, profit margin enhancement and coordination with Business Unit Marketing functions and factory technical and administrative contacts. Identification and communication of emerging market requirements and working with factory to develop the required products is a key element of this position. Successful candidate should also be responsible for making pre-designs for custom parts and following through till production ready at the relevant factory.

Responsibilities: Product definition for North American based designs and specific customer designs. Set prices in accordance with profit margin objectives, sales goals, and market requirements. Product pricing authority with access to factory cost models and guidelines. Training - Provide technical training and support to sales force and customers. Prepare monthly and annual forecasts and annual budgets in coordination with other Marketing Managers in the same department. Develop detailed sales and marketing plans (product positioning of price and availability) through coordination with other Marketing Managers in the same department and Director of Marketing, Global Product Marketing Organization. Develop market projections, maintain awareness of market changes, and communicate these in a timely manner. Market Development - projections, competitive shares, change identification. Assist in the development of advertising, catalogs, and promotional materials. Ensure an adequate supply of these is maintained. Participate in worldwide management meetings as they relate to Marketing and Engineering. Factory level Cancellation and Return Material Authorization with guidelines. Coordination - scheduling, shipping, returns authorizations. Responsible for checking customer portals. Assist in identifying correct level of inventory to ensure maximum service with minimum cost for major customers where we offer VMI. Support and participate in global contract negotiations for applicable products with customers headquartered within North America.

Education:

BSEE or equivalent

Experience/Requirements: Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience in manufacture of ceramic based circuit protection or related components. Knowledge if Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Salesforce, Tableau, and SAP. Be numerate, literate, methodical, reliable, trustworthy and pro-active. Strong presentation skills. Domestic and overseas travel will be required. Training of Quality and AIAG Core Tools

Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position requires the use of typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop, and cell phone. Most work is completed in an office environment.
