Position Overview We are seeking a detail‑oriented
CAD Designer
to support structural and civil engineering projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys producing clean, accurate drawings, collaborating with engineers, and contributing to projects ranging from commercial buildings to residential structures and site‑related civil work. The CAD Designer will work directly with the engineering team to prepare plans, details, and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D (and potentially Revit, if applicable).
Key Responsibilities Produce high‑quality
structural and civil engineering drawings , including plans, sections, elevations, and construction details. Convert engineering sketches, markups, and design concepts into accurate Civil 3D CAD models and drawings. Maintain drawing standards, file organization, and project documentation. Coordinate with engineers to ensure drawings reflect design intent and meet project requirements. Assist with revisions, redlines, and updates throughout the project lifecycle. Support the preparation of permit sets, construction documents, and client deliverables. Communicate proactively with the engineering team to resolve design or drafting issues. Ensure all work complies with company standards and applicable codes.
Qualifications Required: 3+ years of experience as a CAD Designer, Drafter, or similar role in engineering or architecture. Proficiency in
AutoCAD Civil 3D
(Civil 3D or Revit experience is a plus). Strong understanding of drafting standards, layers, line weights, and drawing organization. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred: Experience in
structural
or
civil
engineering environments. Familiarity with construction methods, building materials, and engineering terminology. Experience preparing permit‑ready drawing sets.
