The client is seeking a talented i-Team Director to lead an Innovation Team in Jackson, MS.

The Director will work closely with various stakeholders, including the city's Mayor, leadership teams, department staff, external experts, and community residents, to drive impactful solutions aimed at fostering cleaner, more resilient, and economically thriving communities.

This position is based in Jackson City Hall and involves regular reporting to senior government officials.

Key responsibilities include leading an equity-centered, design-based innovation approach to identifying root causes of civic challenges and collaborating with government colleagues and community organizations to co-create innovative solutions.

The Director is expected to effectively manage the diverse skill sets of the team, promote collaboration among stakeholders, and strengthen the capacity of city government and community-based organizations.

They will inspire the team to challenge the status quo and create strategies for implementing transformative solutions with clear plans, measurable targets, and progress monitoring.

Qualifications required for the role include extensive experience leading large-scale transformations involving multiple stakeholders, developing and managing high-performing teams, and working effectively with senior government, community, or private sector leaders.

Strong interpersonal skills, a track record of delivering innovation, and exceptional verbal and written communication abilities are essential.
