Director of Health Services
to manage their staff at their award-winning
Senior Living Community
in
Hales Corners, WI.
This location is a 374-unit independent Senior Living Community and offers assisted living services to their residents as a registered Residential Care Apartment Complex, and they have an AL census of 10-12 residents with licensure up to 24. They are looking to grow our services and are seeking the right candidate to fill this important leadership role. Hours for this position are standard
1st shift hours Monday – Friday
with some on-call responsibilities. There will be
NO WEEKEND or HOLIDAY shifts required .
As the Director, you will oversee the assisted living services and a current staff of 5 caregivers. Ideal candidates will have experience working in an RCAC or CBRF and have a strong commitment to helping seniors maintain their independence and live a fulfilling and abundant life. This location recently implemented ECP, and experience with this system is bonus!
KEY DUTIES: Assessment of applicants for residency at the Senior Living Facility. Assessment and continued reassessment of existing residents. Development and manage an individual service plan as it relates to Health Services with each resident, with resident interaction. Responsible for clinical delivery of programs and services to residents. Manage, mentor, train and schedule a team of direct reports that includes 5 care givers. Business management of the Health Services Department to include budgeting, billing, reporting and monitoring departmental financials. Coordinate and develop training and mentoring programs for new nursing assistant and/or aide personnel. Participate in the development of in-service and education programs for staff and/or residents. Develop and implement the Health Service Policies and Procedures. Oversee and supervise staff, including interviewing, hiring, and conducting performance evaluations, training, promoting, adjusting salaries, and addressing discipline concerns and terminations.
RESIDENT CARE RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess and document any change to the resident status or needs. Communicate with physician and participate in planning, reviewing and evaluating the care needs of the residents. Notify physician and/or responsible parties of change and/or needs of resident. Maintain confidentiality of residents within the guidelines of Residents Rights prescribed by law. Respond to resident emergencies quickly and in a calm and professional manner. Schedule and provide care and prescribed treatment as selected by the resident within the Admission Agreement or as ordered by attending physician. Advise referral to appropriate agencies when physical or mental health of resident so indicates. Schedule and coordinate in-service programs for residents. Schedule and coordinate health clinics for residents and general community.
QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE a Licensed Registered Nurse with 3 -5+ years
of experience, which include supervisory and management responsibilities preferably inside an RCAC or CBRF environment. Ability to work cooperatively as a support staff with all departments of the organization. Conduct, attend and participate in departmental meetings, in-services, training, and community events as required. Computer literate with accurate data entry skills, and familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work harmoniously with supervisors, peers, and subordinates. High energy level, well organized, and the ability to perform short-cycle, repetitive tasks. Possess valid and current licensure and/or certifications. Prior experience working with the geriatric population preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, tactful, mature, flexible, and possess the ability to get along with diverse personalities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and set and enforce standards. Strong supervisory skills along with the ability to delegate and work harmoniously with all levels of the organization.
