The role of Director, Tax Reporting involves leading global tax provision and compliance processes, specifically focusing on federal tax reporting. As a leader in this capacity, the individual will manage both quarterly and annual tax provision processes, ensuring adherence to internal and external deadlines. Responsibilities include overseeing internal controls, managing federal tax return preparation, and coordinating with finance stakeholders and external advisors. A key aspect of the role is driving process improvements and automation within tax operations. Additionally, the Director will support tax-related activities, including playing a significant part in financial reporting and managing federal tax audits. Key responsibilities include providing technical guidance on ASC 740 and federal income tax matters while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires directing tax return filings, collaborating with various internal and external parties, leading federal audit responses, and handling ongoing audit activities. The individual will be expected to build and execute project plans to ensure all tax and financial reporting deadlines are met. Part of the role is to mentor and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering their growth, and identifying opportunities for improving process efficiencies and implementing automation solutions. To be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of tax experience with significant exposure to ASC 740, as well as 4 years of experience leading federal return preparation and review. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and superior skills in communication, Excel, and Word are required. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to research and document complex tax issues and have prior experience in managing and developing staff. Preferred qualifications include experience with enterprise tax systems and holding an advanced degree or CPA designation. This position may require occasional travel to support business transactions and tax initiatives.
