
Oregon Legislative Director

The client is seeking an Oregon Legislative Director to lead the development and execution of legislative strategies aimed at advancing climate and clean energy policies in Oregon. This position requires experience in government and public affairs, as well as the ability to build trust-based relationships with policymakers, community leaders, and stakeholders to effectively deliver climate progress. The Legislative Director will focus on advocating for the client's Oregon policy agenda and will work to strengthen relationships across the legislature, administrative agencies, and executive branches. During legislative sessions, the Director will represent the client full-time in Salem, collaborating with the Oregon Director, policy and communication teams, and contract lobbyists to provide strategic direction and support priority legislation. Between sessions, the Legislative Director will focus on cultivating legislative relationships, developing advocacy campaigns, and collaborating with policy and communications teams to advance policy priorities through regulatory, budget, and public engagement opportunities. Stakeholder engagement and coalition building are critical components, requiring the Director to maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including legislators and agencies, and to engage with communications staff to shape public narratives and support integrated advocacy campaigns.
