
Associate Director, Collaborative Direct Marketing

Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director, Collaborative Direct Marketing, the Associate Director will provide overarching program and project management of the Collaborative Fundraising (CF) Direct Marketing Program. The role works closely with a Senior Specialist to support affiliate success and future‑proof fundraising efforts to raise income for Habitat’s mission in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI). It also partners with internal teams such as IT, Finance, Communications and external Direct Marketing agency partners. The position plays a key role in executing the CF Direct Marketing program and requires strategic and tactical skills in program, project, and people management. It is a two‑year appointment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee projects fundamental to a world‑class Direct Marketing program; this includes program strategy, analysis, budget creation, vendor/agency management, marketing strategies, and test design with varying levels of responsibility. (40%)
Collaborate with the Senior Specialist to gather affiliate resources, prepare documentation and reports, manage affiliate relationships, and communicate strategy and results to affiliates regarding the Collaborative Operating Model Direct Marketing Program at HFHI. (15%)
Lead Quality Control functions for select information before distribution to affiliates and/or donors. (15%)
Represent the Collaborative Fundraising Direct Marketing Program for a select group of affiliates. (10%)
Oversee and create affiliate communications, including facilitating affiliate meetings. (20%)
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Years of Related Experience:
5+ years in nonprofit fundraising, managing multiple projects efficiently.
Experience with direct marketing mail, telemarketing, digital campaigns, and staying current with best practices and trends.
Strong technology skills, including large‑scale database management, nonprofit constituency relationship management systems, and web‑application development processes.
Strong analytical skills and report creation experience.
Exceptional communication and relationship building skills; written and verbal clarity with strong listening abilities.
Self‑starter with an entrepreneurial and creative problem‑solving approach and experience leading and collaborating in a complex, matrix‑structured, multinational organization.
Excellent project and account management skills, able to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.).
Preferred Requirements
Experience in a federated organization with chapters or affiliates.
Commitment to the Habitat for Humanity mission.
Enthusiasm, self‑confidence and a positive “can‑do” attitude.
Individual of unquestionable integrity whose professional and personal conduct reflect Habitat’s core values.
Experience working with SAFe Agile teams preferred but not required.

Salary & Benefits
The actual salary offered will be based on location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions, and life insurance. For work locations in the United States, the hiring range for this position is $74,460 to $87,600.
Staff hired on a hybrid basis in the United States near an HFHI office location (Atlanta, Georgia / Americus, GA / Washington, D.C.) are required to report to the office on Tuesdays.
