Open to non-locals but client prefers local candidates Non-locals must be willing and committed to work PST hours Job Summary: The Senior Business Analyst acts as the business expert filling a liaison role between the IT development group and business units for development, enhancement, and implementation of new and/or existing systems. Additionally, this position provides data and reporting solutions to satisfy informational and performance metrics needs for one or more business functions. This role supports the new business interconnection program, with focus on Electric Generation Interconnection (EGI), asset work management, and SAP Work and Asset Management systems for utilities. The position requires 5 to 10 years of Business Analyst experience with requirements gathering, previous utility experience, and project implementation expertise.

Responsible for the concurrent management of one or more medium to large complex IT Business Technology projects. These projects are one-time, multitask jobs that have clearly defined start and end dates, a specific scope of work, a budget, required resources, and a specified performance objective to be achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with stakeholders and project team to elicit, analyze, validate and prioritize business needs and requirements Conduct interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards Participate in the QA of purchased solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized Participate in the selection of any software solutions that the organization may opt to use Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers and project team Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and the project team Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted Assist with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options, and communicate these back to business stakeholders Manage, enforce and redefine (as necessary) the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements verbally or through written documentation to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood Participate in the testing effort throughout the project lifecycle, including test script creation Education Requirements:

BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration (preferred) Required Experience:

7 to 10 years of experience in similar or related job functions Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering and project implementation Previous utility industry experience Experience in Waterfall, Agile and Scrum methodology Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development Proven experience with business IT applications Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Nice-to-Have Experience:

Experience working with Electric Generation Interconnection program Experience working with Electric Distribution, Transmission, and Substation work and asset management processes Joint Pole experience Portal displaying assets for utilities (JUMP) Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver on significant technology solutions and business process improvements from concept to implementation Required Skills:

Asset Work Management and Electric Generation Interconnection (EGI) knowledge SAP Work and Asset Management with focus on Electric Distribution, Transmission, and Substation systems Ability to lead and influence decision-making working with senior management Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail Highly self-motivated and directed Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure Strong customer service orientation Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with MS Visio, Excel and PowerPoint Working knowledge of SQL Demonstrated coursework and training in programming languages Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

Must be willing and committed to work PST hours if non-local Client laptop will be provided; if not instantly available, candidate should have access to personal or vendor-provided equipment Equipment location: local or within client's service territory; if outside territory and/or out of state, vendor should provide equipment or worker should provide personal equipment Benefits:
