Seeking a
high-performing Director of Maintenance
to lead all maintenance, airworthiness, compliance, and reliability functions for a growing
Part 135 on-demand charter operation . This role requires a strong leader who can manage daily maintenance control, vendor relationships, scheduled inspections, AOG events, MEL coordination, and FAA compliance while maintaining fleet readiness and dispatch reliability.
The ideal candidate will bring
5+ years of direct hands-on experience with Cessna Citation aircraft products
and a strong understanding of Part 135 operational tempo, unscheduled charter demands, and after‑hours responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities Regulatory / Compliance
Serve as Director of Maintenance under Part 135 certificate requirements
Ensure full compliance with FAA regulations, MEL/CDL, ADs, SBs, inspections, tracking
Coordinate FAA interactions, audits, manuals, conformity, records reviews
Fleet Reliability / Readiness
Maintain aircraft readiness for high‑demand on‑demand charter schedule
Reduce downtime and maximize dispatch reliability
Manage phase inspections, calendar events, engine programs, component overhauls
Operational Support
Immediate response to late‑night or early‑morning maintenance events
Support dispatch when aircraft launch issues arise (MELs, write‑ups, maintenance release items)
Coordinate AOG recovery plans and remote maintenance vendors
Team Leadership
Manage in‑house mechanics and maintenance personnel
Build preventative maintenance culture
Create efficient scheduling for weekday coverage and weekend on‑call support
Financial Oversight
Manage maintenance budgets
Control vendor spend
Review invoices and ensure proper billing to aircraft owners / company accounts
Improve cost efficiency without sacrificing safety
Compensation & Benefits Salary: $150,000 annually
