This role is based on-site, Ridgefield Park NJ Overview
Responsible for identifying the technical and continuous improvement needs of assigned customer and coordination of any technical activities related to same. This may include coordination of both laboratory and manufacturing activities, and applicable training and development of customer employees. Provides strong press side technical service, troubleshooting of problems and provides detailed and consistent technical reporting. Supports customer's schedule through production coordination, and at times may need to provide color matching, formulating, and small batch blending support on-site at the customer location. Provides performance feedback on ink room personnel and address issues accordingly. Essential Job Functions
Directs Housekeeping and Safe operations. Ensure processes are being reviewed and completed properly. Reporting any issues/gaps. Act as point person in operational InPlant matters for the customer and Sun Chemical. Coordinates with Sales, CTS, and CSC leadership to ensure proper technical support within the given customer. Identifies rework opportunities based on review of batch tickets. Takes leadership role in Continuous Process Improvement activities within the InPlant. Provide strong press side technical support. As needed, perform color match, produce and quality control inks to ensure inks meet/exceed the customer's specifications. Maintain detailed production and QC records. Completion of in plant personnel performance management reviews, coordinate in plant personnel training and employee development programs, work closely with HR regarding employee relation matters. Address personnel performance. Prepares monthly reports to keep management informed. Required Education and Experience
Technical Degree (BS) or 5-10 years of industry experience. Good verbal and written communication, analytical and mathematical skills, and creative problem solving. Strong knowledge MS Office and SAP. Intermediate skill set with Gantt charts. Manage multiple complex projects at once. High level of pressroom and printing process knowledge. Preferred Education and Experience
