Program Director, Student Affairs
The Marketing Department in the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida is hiring a Program Director, Student Affairs for the Master of Science in Marketing (MSMAR) program. The incumbent reports to the Faculty Director and is responsible for coordinating the admissions process, recruitment, student advising, student engagement, and career readiness.
Admissions
- Coordinates with admissions personnel
- Makes admissions decisions, sends decision letters, and updates Salesforce and UF admission portal
- Requests I‑20 for international applicants
- Recommends students for scholarships
- Interviews applicants in person and via Zoom
Recruitment
- Advises prospective students in information sessions
- Collaborates with the faculty director on enrollment goals and recruitment strategy
- Maintains program websites for admissions and academic requirements
- Builds strategic relationships with staff, faculty, advisors, and student organizations to promote the program
- Presents to advisors, classes, clubs, organizations, and honor societies
- Attends campus events for program promotion
- Handles recruiting and promotion at UF or other state schools, alumni relations, student events, and special projects
- Coordinates with marketing and recruitment staff on campaigns
- Updates email campaigns in Salesforce
Student Advising
- Manages new student information, registration, and orientation details
- Meets with students to develop academic timelines and advise on program requirements, policies, and deadlines
- Plans and coordinates orientation with the Faculty Director, including venue, agenda, and speakers
- Prepares orientation academic content and videos for on‑campus and online students
- Maintains student academic files, including change of degree and graduate credit transfer forms in GIMS
- Advices all students on program requirements, policies, and deadlines
- Registers students appropriately for courses
- Communicates with undergraduate advisors about combination degree progress
- Processes forms for combination and dual degree students
- Conducts degree audits for graduating students
- Handles CPT and OPT paperwork for international students
- Prepares and monitors petitions to the graduate school
- Coordinates course schedules with graduate enrollment personnel
- Manages program e‑Learning/Canvas sites and announcements
Student Engagement and Career Readiness
- Prepares and delivers events explaining career opportunities in marketing and program benefits
- Collaborates with the Faculty Director on tailored events and workshops for current and prospective students
- Develops experiential learning activities, including courses and business visits, and manages logistics
- Supports and guides MSMAR student ambassadors
- Supervises recruitment, application process, and membership training for ambassadors
- Collaborates with ambassadors for professional development and peer engagement
- Liaises between ambassadors, advising team, and program directors
- Assists with special events such as socials, speaker events, and networking events
- Co‑ordinates with MIB and MSM advising team for events, workshops, and programs
- Manages fiscal accounts for the MSMAR program
- Works with Business Career Services and Corporate Relations Office for placements
- Maintains relationships with firms hiring MSMAR students for internships and full‑time roles
- Supervises the GEB6941 Internship course for MSMAR students
- Maintains alumni relationships for mentoring current students
- Collects feedback from firms about student performance during internships and employment
- Creates and administers exit interview surveys with graduating students and recent graduates
- Uses survey results to inform the faculty director about curriculum effectiveness
Normal Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional weekend or evening duties for recruitment events, orientation, and extracurricular activities (2–3 per semester)
- Travel for MSMAR experiential learning course trips
Expected Salary
$70,000 – $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and at least two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
