My client is looking to bring on a Senior Director of Finance to support their existing NYISO and Mid-Atlantic portfolio of BESS & Community solar projects. If you have 7+ years of finance experience this opportunity is for you!
You will excel in this role by driving the commercial success of the company’s solar & BESS portfolio by bridging financial strategy with sell-side deal execution.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and screening potential acquisitions or divestitures to expand or optimize the company's asset portfolio
- Partnering with leadership to develop budgets and forecasts, ensuring project-level results align with overall corporate targets
- Building initial models based on assumptions for construction costs, permitting, and operating performance to test economic viability
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience in financial analysis, M&A, or project finance, with a specific focus on renewable energy (solar/BESS)
- Sell‑Side M&A experience
- Analyzed projects from early‑stage development, through ready‑to‑build (RTB), to operational status, ensuring all milestones for sale are met.
- Evaluated and mitigated project‑level risks, including interconnection queue uncertainty, basis differentials, curtailment, PPA offtake economics, and BESS degradation
