Overview
We’re hiring: Project Finance Director / Senior Director – Renewable Energy (Solar + Storage)
A fast-growing renewable energy platform is looking for an experienced Project Finance Director / Senior Director to lead financing strategy and execution across a national pipeline of community solar, distributed generation, small-scale utility solar, and battery storage projects.
This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CFO, with high visibility across the business and the opportunity to shape broader strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Leading all project finance activities across development, construction, and permanent financing
- Managing relationships with tax equity investors, lenders, and financing partners
- Driving investor outreach strategy and evaluating financing structures and economics
- Supporting negotiations with debt and tax equity providers
- Overseeing due diligence and financing close processes
- Evaluating project acquisition opportunities and leading project sale processes
- Partnering cross-functionally with development, legal, and executive leadership teams
Ideal background
- 8+ years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or renewable energy finance
- Direct solar and/or energy storage transaction experience required
- Strong knowledge of tax equity, debt financing, and project M&A
- Strong financial modeling skills and experience with project finance structures
- Existing relationships with lenders, tax equity providers, and industry stakeholders preferred
