EY-Parthenon’s Commercial Strategy practice is part of the Strategy and Execution service line. It delivers strategic consulting, transactions, and turn‑arounds across a variety of industries, leveraging deep functional and sector expertise, AI‑powered technology, and an investor mindset.

Key Responsibilities

As a Director, you will lead and execute strategy development, transactions, and turn‑arounds. You will collaborate with EY‑Parthenon team members to improve client returns by unlocking value through corporate/BU strategy, go‑to‑market strategy (including digital), commercial operating model, and optimization of sales, service, marketing, pricing functions. You will identify, define, quantify, and realize sustainable value via revenue enhancement and cost/margin improvement tied to the commercial aspects of clients’ businesses, while minimizing customer disruption. You will also focus on business and practice development and develop team members to achieve their career goals.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and 3 years of related work experience.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Significant transactions (buy and/or sell side) management consulting experience.
  • Experience in corporate and/or BU strategy development, commercial functions (sales, marketing, customer service, pricing), go‑to‑market strategy, revenue synergy design for traditional, digital and hybrid models.
  • Evaluation of market landscape including size, competition, trends, and resulting commercial implications.
  • Pre‑deal strategy, including growth assessments (profitability assessments, clean room, etc.).
  • Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to develop long‑lasting relationships both internally and externally.
  • Resident or within commutable distance to the office location for this position.
  • Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven record of excellence in a transactions and/or commercial strategy role.
  • Experience within a large professional services organization.
  • Knowledge of leveraging firm‑approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
  • Established networking skills in relevant industries.

Benefits

  • A comprehensive compensation and benefits package with a base salary range of $205,000 to $235,000 (geographically adjusted). In addition, a total rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Hybrid model: most client‑facing roles work together in person 40‑60% of the time over the course of an engagement.
