Compliance Specialist

at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA).

Applicants must be within driving distance to our

Alpharetta, GA

office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to the office a minimum of three days per week.

A day in the life.

Provide support to regional offices and leadership by interpreting compliance standards, offering guidance, and assisting with risk assessments to mitigate potential compliance violations.

Respond promptly and accurately to compliance inquiries from the National Compliance team, including managing documentation and implementing corrective measures.

Oversee the maintenance, monitoring, and issuance of Third-Party Provider (TPP) contracts, ensuring all agreements align with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Administer sponsorships and charitable donations by reviewing requests, obtaining necessary approvals, and maintaining records in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.

Coordinate client lodging and travel requests through the approval process to ensure compliance with guidelines and prevent ethical or regulatory concerns.

Oversee client gift requests to guarantee adherence to gifts and entertainment policies.

Manage approvals for carrier-sponsored trips in compliance with established standards.

Develop and distribute a schedule of regular compliance reminders and updates to colleagues, reinforcing awareness of policies and regulatory changes.

Promote a culture of integrity and ethical business conduct by increasing employee awareness and understanding of compliance responsibilities.

Support the maintenance of strong compliance controls and processes to improve operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, including assisting with audits, investigations, and ongoing enhancements to the compliance program.

Experience working within the insurance brokerage industry is strongly preferred.

Service-oriented individual with high personal standards and a hands-on work style.

Comfortable working at a fast pace, managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, adjusting priorities often, and managing frequent interruptions.

Knowledge of insurance terminology preferred, and an interest in learning complex insurance coverage issues related to Property & Casualty and Employee Health & Benefits coverage.

Must be a proactive problem solver.

Must be meticulous.

Comprehensive knowledge of MS Word and Excel applications.

Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.

Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and present results neatly, with clarity and precision in oral and written form.

Demonstrated ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
