Project Overview
This role supports a critical government services initiative focused on the accurate processing, verification, and management of claims and provider-related data. The Data Entry Clerk will augment existing staff to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant handling of high-volume documentation that directly supports program integrity and service delivery. This project plays a key role in maintaining data accuracy, meeting regulatory requirements, and ensuring stakeholders receive reliable and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-volume data entry with accuracy and attention to detail
Review, process, and verify claims and supporting documentation
Utilize multiple systems for data processing and verification, including mainframe systems and document management platforms
Index and validate claims data against multiple sources, both manually and through technology
Apply established policies and procedures to ensure compliant data processing
Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets defined standards and expectations
Support provider and stakeholder outreach related to data clarification or follow-up
Monitor assigned work to ensure completion within established deadlines
Perform additional administrative and data management tasks as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
Entry-level experience in data entry, administrative support, or data processing
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined procedures
Experience working with documentation systems and data management tools
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Knowledge of claims documentation, including CMS‑1500 and UB‑04 (CMS‑1450) forms
Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality
Strong organizational and time management skills
Project Impact

Work Environment
Position will sit in Sioux Falls or Pierre, SD
Candidate must be available to travel to Pierre on an as‑needed basis
