
Marketing Intern

Fresno State Hockey is looking for a creative Sports Marketing Intern to help grow our brand and game-day presence. This is a hands‑on opportunity to build real experience in sports marketing, content creation, and fan engagement.
Responsibilities
Create and manage content for Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook
Capture game-day photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes content
Post live updates, scores, and highlights during games
Write captions aligned with team brand voice
Plan and execute social media campaigns and content calendars
Track analytics and engagement using Meta Business tools
Design graphics using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
Assist with email marketing (Mailchimp/ConvertKit if assigned)
Game Day & Events
Assist at all home games (setup, breakdown, and operations support)
Run social media coverage and fan engagement during games
Help execute promotions, theme nights, and fundraising events
Coordinate with sponsors and vendors on activations
Develop ideas to increase student attendance and community engagement
Collaborate with team leadership on campaigns and initiatives
Support outreach to campus organizations, fans, and sponsors
Complete
150 internship hours
during the semester
Attend
all home games/events
and
minimum 5 practices
Maintain consistent communication and track hours accurately
Ability to work both remotely (up to 6 hrs/day) and in-person (as needed)
Reliable access to a laptop + Google Drive, Canva/Adobe tools
Ability to attend weekly meetings and events in person
Reach out and make connections to potential sponsors (In-person, over the phone/email)
Maintain professionalism across all team interactions and content

MUST ENROLL IN THE APPROPRIATE INTERNSHIP COURSE FOR YOUR MAJOR BEFORE STARTING YOUR INTERNSHIP HOURS.
To enroll you must contact the appropriate faculty member in your academic department for approval prior to starting the internship. You can also contact Claudia Ceja, University Internship Coordinator, at cceja@csufresno.edu or your college's Internship Coordinator for more details about the steps required to obtain academic credit for internship experiences.
