This is a field-driven sales role with real ownership, not a desk job, but not purely fieldwork either.
As an
Arborist Sales Representative
, you’ll split your time between meeting clients on-site, building proposals, and managing the workflow behind the scenes to keep jobs moving.
This role is designed for someone who wants to grow---fast. You’ll be expected to learn quickly, stay organized, adapt to changing priorities, and take ownership of your results and income.
What You’ll Be Doing
Meet with residential and commercial clients to walk properties and understand their tree and plant health needs
Learn to identify common tree and shrub species, diagnose issues, and recommend practical, science-based solutions (after the training period)
Build clear, accurate proposals using company tools and technology
Manage your work end-to-end---balancing field visits, client communication, proposals, and administrative follow-through
Stay on top of your pipeline: follow-ups, approvals, scheduling coordination, and job progression
Maintain and grow client relationships through consistent communication, follow-up, and quality service
Work closely with Production teams to ensure jobs are executed safely, correctly, and as sold
Monitor job progress and support quality control to ensure client satisfaction
Adapt your schedule and priorities as needed---weather, client needs, and operations shift daily
Generate opportunities through referrals, repeat clients, and proactive outreach
What You’re Accountable For
Setting clear sales goals with your manager and consistently working to meet or exceed them
Managing the full sales cycle, including communication, estimating, follow-up, and job coordination
Ensuring what is sold is clear, accurate, and executable in the field
Taking ownership of client experience from first contact through job completion
Supporting and reinforcing company safety, transportation, and pesticide compliance standards

Background & Requirements
1-3 years of experience in tree care, landscaping, or sales preferred
ISA Arborist Certification (or willingness to obtain with company support)
Willingness to learn tree and shrub identification, pest/disease diagnosis, and proper treatment recommendations
Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred, but not required
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Requirements
Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs as needed
