Personal Banker Associate II – East/Central Columbus
Location: Columbus, Ohio 43214
Selected candidates will become a Retail Personal Banker II after completing a 4-8 week onboarding and education program that includes rotations in Operations and Sales & Service. Upon certification, they will demonstrate skills necessary to succeed in the role, which focuses on sales development and relationship building through the promotion of deposits, loans, fee‑based services, and customer retention. The role requires selling a full range of banking products and providing specialized care to existing and prospective customers while promoting the consultative sales and service process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a customer profile and identify current and future financial needs.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Retail consumer and small‑business products/services and recommend solutions using the value proposition.
Utilize CAMP and other marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for financial reviews.
Cross‑sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities such as Membership Advantage presentations, business sales calls, and community financial literacy events as directed.
Establish close working relationships with assigned Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment) and refer customers for holistic solutions.
Consistently meet or exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals and enhance revenue growth as measured by the Financial Center P&L.
Provide guidance to CSRs on the sales and referral process.
Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor and professionalism.
Answer customer questions confidently and own customer issues.
Maintain confidentiality of all business information.
Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and ethics and related policies, maintaining ethical behavior at all times.
Adhere to established policies and procedures while opening/servicing the full range of Retail products.
Participate in the consumer loan and bankcard process, owning loans from application through closing.
Participate in opening/closing of the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed.
Keep up‑to‑date on Retail procedures to mitigate fraud and unnecessary risk.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
College degree or equivalent work experience providing transferable skills.
Preferred experience in the financial industry.
Comfortable with sales activities aimed at acquiring new consumer household and small‑business customers and cross‑selling to existing customers.
Ability to analyze credit and financial information using advanced math functions.
Professional appearance and communication skills.
Good judgment and working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures.
Required S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
Working Conditions
Normal office environment.
Screen time.
Travel within the affiliate for training and scheduling flexibility.
Travel outside the affiliate for classroom training sessions.
