Portfolio Analyst

The Portfolio Analyst supports strategic portfolio decision-making through detailed SKU-level performance analysis, data management, and structured reporting. This role plays a critical part in portfolio governance by ensuring data accuracy, coordinating cross-functional inputs, and supporting monthly portfolio review processes. The ideal candidate will deliver reliable insights in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze SKU-level performance, including sales, margin, and velocity, to identify risks such as slow-moving inventory and margin erosion

Conduct structured analyses (e.g., ABC analysis, scorecards) to support SKU evaluation and portfolio optimization (Grow, Maintain, Exit)

Maintain portfolio master data, including SKU mapping and category tagging, ensuring consistency across systems and channels

Develop and manage dashboards and recurring reports to support performance tracking and decision-making

Prepare and present monthly portfolio review materials for cross-functional stakeholders

Evaluate product mix to identify concentration risks (e.g., supplier or category dependency) and inefficiencies

Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify portfolio gaps and opportunities

Support portfolio governance by preparing data and materials for cross-functional reviews

Collaborate with Product, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to align on portfolio strategy, inventory, and procurement priorities

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field required

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably within the food manufacturing or distribution industry

Experience working cross-functionally with Purchasing, Sales, and Warehouse Operations

Hands‑on experience with SKU lifecycle management, including product launches and exits

Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas)

Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau

Strong understanding of financial metrics, including Sales, Margin, and COGS

Familiarity with SQL or other data querying tools (preferred)

Proven ability to manage recurring reporting cycles with accuracy and efficiency
