Job Description And Duties
Do you thrive in a dynamic setting where you handle tax filings, payments, and cash reconciliations with accuracy and attention to detail? CalPERS seeks an Financial Accountant (FA) I Specialist in the Financial Reporting and Accounting Services Division, Treasury Management section.

The Financial Accountant (FA) I Specialist undertakes the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Employment Development Department (EDD). This role oversees the preparation and monitoring of tax claim schedules for Federal and State tax withholdings, ensuring timely deposits into the Custodian bank. Furthermore, the position conducts daily cash reconciliation between accounting records, Master Custodian Bank records, and control agency records.

In this role, timely tax filing and reporting are imperative. Please elaborate on your experience with tax filing and/or reconciliations involving bank and cash accounts.

Describe your familiarity with tax software and other tools utilized for tax reporting and reconciliation purposes.
