We are hiring an

Oil & Gas Strategy & Business Development Advisor

to help drive strategy consulting and transformation opportunities across upstream, midstream, downstream, and energy‑adjacent ecosystems. This role is designed for a seasoned professional with a consulting background who excels in consultative, outcome‑oriented business development— shaping and incubating new, high‑value opportunities rather than executing delivery or carrying a traditional sales quota .

The Advisor operates at the intersection of

industry strategy, operational and digital transformation, and deal shaping , working closely with senior client stakeholders and internal leadership to unlock greenfield opportunities and position differentiated solutions across the Oil & Gas value chain.

This is

not a delivery role

and

not a CIO‑centric IT sales role .

Key Responsibilities
Oil & Gas Strategy & Opportunity Shaping

Shape and advance strategy consulting and transformation opportunities across the Oil & Gas industry, including upstream, midstream, downstream, LNG, refining, chemicals, and energy transition–adjacent businesses.

Develop executive‑level points of view that link business outcomes to technology‑enabled, operational, and organizational transformation (e.g., asset performance, capital efficiency, decarbonization, supply chain optimization, safety, and reliability).

Identify, incubate, and mature

greenfield opportunities , including displacing incumbents or opening entirely new solution areas across core hydrocarbons and emerging energy models.

Consultative Business Development

Lead consultative selling activities focused on

complex, high‑value, strategy‑led engagements

rather than transactional deals.

Collaborate with internal consulting, industry, and solution leaders to shape deal strategies, client narratives, and investment or transformation cases.

Bring structure and clarity to ambiguous problem spaces, helping clients define, prioritize, and sponsor enterprise‑level or asset‑level transformation agendas.

Strategic Deal & Stakeholder Advisory
Support large, strategic pursuits by:

Framing the core business and operational problem

Defining transformation ambition and scope

Articulating differentiated value and measurable outcomes

Advise internal teams on:

Senior stakeholder mapping across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, HSSE, Finance, and Business Leadership

Deal positioning and competitive displacement strategies

Elevate pursuit quality by reinforcing

strategy‑led, outcome‑centric conversations

rather than solution‑first or technology‑only messaging.

Basic Qualifications

12+ years of experience

in:

Strategy consulting, or

Strategy‑led business development within the Oil & Gas or broader energy industry

5+ years of demonstrated experience

in consultative selling, shaping and closing complex, high‑value, non‑commoditized engagements.

Preferred Experience

Proven ability to

incubate greenfield opportunities , including initiating new client relationships or launching new solution areas.

Experience engaging senior client stakeholders

beyond IT , such as Operations, Asset Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, HSSE, or Executive Leadership.

Strong executive‑level communication skills, with the ability to connect

industry strategy, technology, and business outcomes .

Background in a

top‑tier consulting firm

or strategy‑led advisory organization.

Experience shaping strategy or transformation deals across the

Oil & Gas value chain , including digital operations, asset optimization, energy transition, or enterprise transformation.

Comfort operating in

ambiguity

and driving momentum without formal authority.

CIO‑focused infrastructure or IT services sales

Quota‑carrying, transactional account management roles
