Our client, a growing engineering and design firm, is seeking a Civil Designer I to support land development and infrastructure projects. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for someone looking to build a career in civil design, working alongside experienced engineers on site development, utilities, drainage, and roadway projects.
Responsibilities
Develop civil design drawings using CAD software (Civil 3D or similar)
Transform conceptual designs and sketches into detailed construction documents
Assist in the design of grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and stormwater systems
Support preparation and review of engineering plans to ensure compliance with standards
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and design teams
Assist with coordination between clients, agencies, and internal teams
Support project scope, schedule, and budget tracking efforts
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred
Drafting or engineering technician or internship experience in land development industry is a plus
Exposure to civil design software such as Civil 3D or Bentley preferred
Understanding of grading, drainage, and utility design concepts is a plus
