Job Summary The Category Development Specialist supports managers with daily activities related to category development and procurement. Duties include collaborating with cross‑functional teams, the field, and supplier base to source quotes and issue purchase orders, managing ongoing field requests, and delivering high‑level customer service to the field. The role also serves as a system and process expert.
Responsibilities
Own and manage system‑based workflows across internal platforms, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Support required internal processes, including procurement, compliance, pricing, and more.
Liaise with cross‑functional groups to ensure timely management of order placement, quotes, and other system‑related needs.
Ensure excellent execution of programs and the team’s required processes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Sense of urgency and excellent customer service skills.
Ability to manage complex competing priorities with strict deadlines and attention to detail.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong analytical skills to interpret and present data effectively.
