Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Construction Superintendent to join our team in Knoxville, TN. This role is responsible for managing all on-site construction activities from project start through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent will coordinate and supervise subcontractors and vendors, maintain and drive the project schedule, and proactively address delays or field issues. Responsibilities also include enforcing safety protocols and company policies, monitoring daily progress, maintaining site documentation and reports, and leading inspections. The position requires the ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings, manage punch-list completion, and work closely with Project Managers.
Qualifications
Proven expertise in commercial construction site management and ability to coordinate subcontractors and trades on-site
Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and adherence to regulatory compliance
Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and shop drawings
Strong organization skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, teams, and vendors
Proficiency in using construction management software (Procore Preferred)
Proven experience as a construction superintendent in commercial construction projects is highly desirable
Preferred
Experience with ground-up and/or large-scale commercial projects
OSHA 30 certification
Stable work history with completed projects
