The aim of the Sales Department is to sell machines and services and offer our customers meaningful and value-adding solutions. We specialize in providing them with the most advanced technology and products to maximize customer satisfaction. We offer a wide range of services such as laser cutting, bending technology, tube processing, automation, and software that ensure our customers receive a successful return on their investments. Establishing and upholding strong relationships with our customers is paramount in our role. What you will be doing
Assist in developing long and short-range sales strategies, forecasts, budgets, and goals for the assigned territory in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager. Extensive customer/potential customer contact via telephone, written communications and personal visits requiring travel to customer sites via automobile (personal/rental) or air travel. Conduct demonstrations for machinery at existing client locations, coordination of demonstrations in conjunction with Applications Manager for demos at Technical Center locations. Prepare and print budget quotations and prepare detailed quotations for potential clients. Expand customer base and develop new leads. Plan and carry out field travel efficiently for geographically grouped customer/prospect visits. Prepare visit reports for Regional Sales Manager Participate in study tours, open houses, industry trade shows and related association functions. Collect and share competitive information. Communicate with Installation and Customer Service Department to ensure continuity from point of sale to customer satisfaction. Supply forecast, win/loss, and other month-end reports to Regional Sales Manager. Assist Regional Sales Manager with advertising promotions. Maintain customer database for assigned sales territory. Your education & experience
Minimum two years metal industry related sales or application experience, preferably in the area of capital equipment sales. What you need to succeed
Past work experience overnight travel to customers via auto or air. Previous experience with Bystronic Products desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others. Strong understanding of metals and the metal manufacturing process. Applications, PC and CNC knowledge CRM database experience (ACT or equivalent). Must be able to travel up to approximately 50% of the time, rent cars and have a clean driving record. Your edge
