About The Mortgage Loan Processor/ Closer Opportunity
MTC Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced

Mortgage Loan Processor / Closer

to manage residential mortgage files from submission through closing. This role is essential to ensuring loans are processed accurately, efficiently, and in full regulatory compliance while delivering an exceptional member experience.

What You’ll Do

Manage loan files following initial disclosures through closing

Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance

Submit loans to underwriting and manage approval conditions

Communicate requirements to borrowers, loan officers, and third parties

Track and follow up on missing documentation

Coordinate final approval, Clear to Close (CTC), and closing documentation

Review Final Closing Disclosure and HUD-1 with borrowers

Prepare wire instructions and ensure timely funding

Prepare closing packages for Home Equities

Maintain compliance with NCUA, CFPB, BSA, and internal policies

Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements
What We’re Looking For

2–3 years of residential mortgage processing and/or closing experience

Working knowledge of FNMA and portfolio loan program guidelines

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple files and competing deadlines

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mortgage processing systems

Education

High School Diploma required

Associate degree and/or equivalent industry experience preferred

Compliance

Responsible for complying with all laws, statutes, rules and regulations which govern credit unions, including but not limited to all components of the Bank Secrecy Act provisions of the US Patriot Act

Must comply with all credit union policies and applicable laws and regulations; maintain confidentiality of member information
