Job Overview
The Hybrid Member Service Agent (MSHA) is a combination of the Teller and Member Service Agent roles, providing detailed product and credit knowledge, high level of service, sales performance, counseling, and handling teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, checks, mortgage payments, loan payments). The position requires sound knowledge of deposit/membership and consumer loan processes, organizational skills, proactive problem solving, teamwork, extended hours including Saturdays, and a safety‑focused mindset.
Essential Functions
Ensure Delta Community Credit Union maintains a good image through accurate customer relations and account entries.
Provide superior service to members and guest members.
Maintain strict detail orientation and organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Educate members on emerging bank technologies (mobile, online, Zelle, ATM) to improve banking experience.
Identify financial needs and cross‑sell products and services with integrity.
Respond, investigate, and resolve member concerns.
Process consumer loan applications, review supporting documents.
Open, close, and maintain member accounts; understand IRA and HSA contributions and distributions.
Identify and report suspicious activities (phishing, money laundering, smurfing, layering, counterfeit currency, elder abuse, check kiting, account takeover, new account, wire, and loan fraud).
Identify, prevent, and report attempts to use fraudulent documentation or ID.
Serve as Notary Public as directed.
Perform daily branch balance reporting.
Maintain dual‑control protocols, cover concierge desk, and assist with daily opening/closing duties.
Balance various monetary transactions and maintain security of cash drawer, negotiable instruments, and documents.
Complete shared‑branching deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and mortgage payments.
Scan checks and negotiable instruments for processing.
Meet balancing standards, maintain accuracy and security.
Develop and maintain credit union relationships and demonstrate product knowledge.
Flexible to cover multiple branch offices in the Atlanta area.
Legal Requirement
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Required Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years’ customer service and/or sales experience.
6+ months’ cash handling experience.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
Comfortable working with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
Able to sit/stand approximately eight hours a day.
Flexible to cover multiple branch offices and willing to work Saturdays.
Complies with all credit union policies and procedures, including BSA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in finance or related field.
1+ years’ teller experience.
1+ years’ credit union or financial services experience.
1+ years’ loan experience.
Notary Public certification.
Bilingual Spanish speaking.
Symitar experience.
Knowledge of Delta Community Credit Union policies and procedures.
