Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service and assist customers in the produce department.
Clean, fill and rotate produce displays and maintain product appearance.
Lift and move up to 60 pounds, bend, stoop, stand and kneel for prolonged periods.
Follow instructions for labeling, pricing and shelf organization.
Complete written correspondence and interact with co‑workers and customers in both Spanish and English.
Work under direct supervision of the Produce Manager in a fast‑paced grocery environment.
Qualifications
Read/write Spanish and English and interact with the general public and coworkers.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, brief correspondences and memos.
Write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers and employees.
Demonstrate common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
Basic PC/Outlook skills (preferred).
Retail Management Certificate (preferred).
