Brief Description
BigIron is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our growing team! The Junior Graphic Designer supports the creation and production of visual design across digital and print platforms to assist marketing, branding, and communication efforts. This role focuses on executing design tasks, updating existing assets, and assisting with project deliverables under the direction of senior team members. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple assignments in a fast‑paced environment while following established brand standards and guidelines. This position contributes to business objectives through consistent, accurate, and timely design support.

Essential Functions

Creative Concept Development: Conceptualize, design, and create various marketing materials, including but not limited to print, digital, and social media campaigns, aligned with the company’s branding and messaging strategy.

Brand Management: Ensure consistency of the company’s visual identity across all marketing and communication materials, maintaining brand integrity in all design work.

Project Leadership: Manage and prioritize design projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. This includes collaborating with marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure design solutions align with business goals.

Design Execution: Produce high-quality design work for a wide range of materials, including brochures, websites, advertisements, presentations, and more, using Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools.

Client and Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal teams and external clients (when applicable) to understand project needs and translate them into visually compelling designs. Provide design insights and suggestions to improve effectiveness.

Creative Problem‑Solving: Use independent judgment to solve design challenges and provide innovative solutions that meet business objectives.

Content and Asset Management: Organize and maintain digital assets and design files, ensuring they are easily accessible and up to date.

Trend Awareness and Innovation: Stay current with industry trends, design software, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve the quality and effectiveness of design work.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including marketing, content, and development teams, to ensure that designs align with the overall strategy and messaging.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design skills and styles.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), with additional experience in web design or motion graphics a plus.

Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.

Experience with branding and marketing materials across various platforms (print, digital, social media, etc.).

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to both creative and non‑creative stakeholders.

Self‑motivated, creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
