Role Overview The firm is seeking an experienced Trading Assistant to support its trading and investment teams across credit, fixed income, and equity products. This role works directly alongside traders and requires strong market awareness, operational precision, and the ability to manage trade flow in fast‑moving environments.

The primary asset class is High Yield Credit, with additional exposure to equities and structured credit products. The ideal candidate is currently in a Trading Assistant or trade support role at a buy‑side firm or investment bank and is comfortable supporting live trading activity.

Key Responsibilities

Support the full trade lifecycle, including trade booking, allocations, and issue resolution

Maintain accurate blotters, trade logs, and real‑time position tracking

Act as a liaison between trading, operations, compliance, treasury, and counterparties

Partner with technology and reporting teams to enhance trading workflows and controls

Support securities lending activity and borrow optimization

Handle ad‑hoc trade analysis requests, including historical trade data and PnL

Provide cross‑time‑zone trading support as required (e.g., London‑New York transition)

Qualifications

4+ years of experience

in a Trading Assistant or similar trading support role

Background at a buy‑side firm or investment bank strongly preferred

Strong understanding of High Yield Credit; exposure to equities and structured products a plus

Advanced Excel and Bloomberg proficiency required

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to operate in high‑pressure trading environments

Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
