Senior Paralegal – Civil Rights Division
Leidos is looking for a Senior Paralegal to work fully onsite in support of the Civil Rights Division.
Responsibilities
Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal.
Develops work products with minimal direct supervision, following written guidelines.
Performs moderately complex legal research.
Synopsizes transcripts of hearings and oral arguments for attorney use.
Reviews case‑related materials, identifies potentially conflicting statements or areas requiring further investigation.
Writes preliminary drafts of simple legal memoranda and correspondence.
Reviews documents in Relativity.
Supports multiple attorneys.
Generates productions.
Supports trial onsite and offsite.
Basic Qualifications
Paralegal certificate, Juris Doctorate, or currently attending an ABA‑accredited law school with at least one year of study, or equivalent level of legal training or experience.
2+ years of litigation paralegal experience or project experience (as related to the task order).
At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.
In‑depth experience with Relativity (2023 or later).
Sound working knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
Hands‑on familiarity with a variety of computer applications including word processing, databases (document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.
Hands‑on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a Government and/or Litigation Support environment.
Trial experience.
Current or active clearance.
Compensation
Pay: $31.69 per hour.
