
OSP Construction Manager

Responsibilities
Lead the construction phase of FTTH projects, including underground (trenching, boring) and aerial cable placements.
Review construction "redlines" and "as-builts" for accuracy before final project closeout.
Conduct regular site visits to troubleshoot field issues, including right-of-way (ROW) disputes and unforeseen geographical obstacles.
Manage primary construction vendors, ensuring they meet daily/weekly production targets.
Standardize the inspection process to ensure uniform quality across all project zones.
Coordinate with local municipalities and utility companies to ensure all permits (encroachment, pole attachment, etc.) are active and compliant.
Ensure all field activities adhere to OSHA, NESC, and local safety regulations.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years in OSP construction management, specifically with large-scale FTTH deployments.
Expert-level knowledge of fiber-optic network infrastructure, including testing, safety regulations, and OSP-specific codes.
Must be proactive leader with the "soft skills" to manage diverse teams and the "hard skills" to solve complex field engineering issues on the fly.
