
Property Manager MDH

Job Summary Oversee the daily operations and management of various supportive single room occupancy housing properties in McKeesport and the Hill District.
Essential Functions
Oversight of daily building operations.
Daily management of staff to include hiring, training, evaluating, scheduling, and deploying team members.
Available to be on‑call and to address a range of situations or emergencies when needed.
Provide monthly reports to management and ownership.
Daily coordination of resident‑related issues including, but not limited to:
Oversee application and intake
Maintain waiting lists
Track maintenance requests
Monitor delinquency
Address health & safety concerns
Resolve complaints and conflicts
Enforce House Rules
Monitor leasing activities:
Follow up on applications.
Track application status with McKeesport Housing Authority.
Work with assistant manager to assist applicants with obtaining necessary documentation.
Complete annual tenant recertification packets with residents in a timely manner.
Deescalate resident issues and address resident concerns. Review resident incident reports, investigate, and address issues with residents in person or via written notice.
Monitor delinquency and work with residents to set up timely payment plans, seek rental assistance, and attend court eviction proceedings at magistrate as needed.
Document incidents, infractions, and interactions for future follow‑up as needed.
Work with maintenance on room turns and ensure rooms are completed for scheduled move‑ins.
Organize, secure, and manage files to ensure confidentiality and accuracy.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience required, or 10 years of property management experience with two years’ experience supervising staff required.
Knowledge of homeless and/or supportive housing models, the Allegheny County Human Services system, community resources & networks and experience working with vulnerable populations is desirable.
Experience with budgeting, contract review, affordable leasing compliance, and property management software required.
Familiarity with Landlord and Tenant Law and Fair Housing policies preferred.
Word processing skills.
Work Environment And Physical Demands
General office environment.
Physical strength to manipulate light to medium weight materials weighing 10 to 15 pounds on a regular basis.
Travel between multiple properties required. Reliable transportation required.
Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment that is tolerant and welcoming.
