Job Summary
Starting Pay: $23 per hour
Schedule: Weekdays, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, with on-call coverage as assigned.
Location: 14035 Industrial Rd., Houston, TX 77015
This role supports terminal operations by accurately entering, verifying, and maintaining customer and account data while upholding strict confidentiality and safety standards. It requires strong communication with Account Managers and Vessel Coordinators, timely processing of releases and inbounds, and real-time documentation of daily tasks. The position also participates in weekly and weekend on-call rotations and performs additional duties as assigned.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Maintain confidentiality with all information provided
Follows all safety rules and policies and reports any safety issues
Provide quality service, maintain a positive and friendly demeanor, exhibit professionalism and a strong work ethic
Possess a thorough understanding of the terminals' operating capabilities and processes
Develop and maintain clear communications with each Account Manager and Vessel Coordinator to understand their needs, directions, and special requirements
Enter Customer Releases, Inbounds, Uploads into TOS following processes and customer specific requirements
Ensure all inbounds and releases are entered in a timely fashion following First In First Out except for any HOT request
Verify entered Customer and Account Data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data
Update Data Entry Log real time for all tasks completed throughout the day
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to adjust to changing operating conditions and work with a team
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
Must be able to work weekly and weekend on call rotation
Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic
Must have a valid TWIC card or be able to obtain one upon hire
Education
Must be 18 years of age or older with High School or GED equivalent
